Notts has had another fantastic birding year so far, where I’ve caught up with Little Bunting, 2-barred Xbill, Great Reed Warbler, Temminck’s Stint, and my personal fave, the HP Bonaparte’s Gull. Here’s a little worked up sketch of it.
Prints & original available if interested.
A digital European Bee-eater piece, something a little different to what I usually do.
Very surprised they’ve not bred in the UK this year considering the number of birds passing through.
Finished study of the recent Holme Pierrepont Dusky Warbler, in watercolours.
Probably the most frustratingly elusive bird I’ve ever seen, which makes it an even better find by Alan Clewes!
For sale, can do prints with or without the sketches too.
I know it’s a bit late but just scanned my sketches of the Frampton Marsh Caspian Tern, a charismatic bird to watch. If anyone’s interested in buying please DM me! @RSPBFrampton
