Things come to a head one night as a Wayne Charity gala - while Bruce initially struggles to give an opening speech, he eventually comes around with Dick's help. Dick manages to charm the audience with a fun musical number, while Bruce and Selina dance together.

Bruce spends most of the movie trying to resolve these different problems in his life - growing closer to Dick, proving to Selina that he really does care about the city, and evading Caldwell's various attempts to undermine his plans to fix things.
