feel like i shade faster when i hide my flats

art thing i wish i tried sooner was "sketch in color" or "sketch with flats"

used to feel like i had to perfect my sketch before i do lines
perfect lines before adding base colors
perfect flats before shading, etc

i have a hard time figuring out forms/shapes with lines alone!

violet was always meant to look older than harley but i was very aware the way i drew early on did not convey that 🤣💀

was telling pizza man i feel like when i started drawing my comic you can kinda tell im struggling to get the job done but the more hours i clock the more harley seems to visually reflect my intentions: a boy-ish man who has some growing up to do 🤏

it wasn't even on purpose or stated by me like it was just a remake using characters from games i made when i was very new to flash and my inbox was destroyed with "WHY IS THERE NO TSUNDERE??!! 😭😭" so next game i made sure to not skip the emotionally stunted meanie lol
