here's a quick comparison of aerith DE to the original. her idle animation has been redrawn from scratch with some extra flourishes!

aerith definitive edition portrait?? this was fun to do just to see how far i can go with what ive learned, but dont expect something like this finished anytime soon lol

marios most important animations finished, just technical stuff is left and then hes off to be coded! in the meantime, here is his up special, super jump punch. works the same as usual, but during the descent he can bounce off of opponents! (this might change in playtesting)

mario's aerials! neutral, forward, up, back, and down. the notable new changes are forward and down- mario now has a hefty kick for his forward aerial, and down aerial allows mario to slow his descent and bounce off opponents!

the aether layout features floating blocks and enemies that spawn from pipes, ala the original mario bros
