Her design reminds me a lot of Blossom from Powerpuff Girls, which makes sense because I believe Lauren Faust designed the CMC based on the original Powerpuff Girls.

I also love her dedication to helping others find their talents, even taking her own experiences into account.

Also, her backstory and Redemption arc were very lackluster imo, namely due to a lack of substance. But after the season 6 finale, I started to warm up to Starlight and it wasn't until The Parent Map when she cemented herself in my top 10.
