Distorted battle backgrounds are a go! Here's a test with a simple background to see if it'd work... and it did!

Character portraits! I've been working heavily on maps, fancier textboxes, and cutscenes, so I've had to make a couple different sprites of this character. My favorite is the tiny one, it flashes purple to indicate where the player is in the overworld.

I spent most of today and yesterday trying to automate newline behavior in my textboxes... it didn’t really work, but it sure lead to some funny results!

Of course, this lead to some funny behavior during the debug process! The player is supposed to be inside the house in this room! 📺
