If a DOA 7 ever exists, it needs to be a reboot. If you have the right producer that understands the franchise, something real good can come out of it. Soul Calibur and Samurai Shodown did this perfectly. You can argue that KOF 14 was a soft reboot and seems to be on track since.

Honestly any fanbase you're in there will always be division. Once XC3 releases, it will create its own set of fans and further expand the divide.
