Odd thing I've noticed is some cockpit sprites have two versions to properly denote where their scars or moles would be when flipped (1-3), whereas others like Lockon (4th) don't. Don't know if the ripper didn't extract them or the game actually didn't bother to do them all.
Ah, this makes sense. So in SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays, you don't get enough of a good look at them with all the particle effects and cropped cut-ins, but all the cockpits are 3D modeled and exported as really high res sprites. A seated shadow is baked in too.
