for this other commission, i put a gray base for clipping, and just did all the coloring in one layer with the shading, color adjusted to the lighting that was requested (under a tree)

this is a recent commission, i dont usually gray scale, but i needed to because i was going to apply intense gradient maps that would adjust my colors, so i needed to get the values just right
