Color study. Honestly my biggest problem with these studies is that I’m scared they’ll turn out better than my final. And that is almost always the case. Look how friggin nice this looks like how am I supposed to top this with acrylic 😰
A super small painting of Aquarius’ Blessing I did for this vintage frame I found. I’m currently collecting vintage frames and planning pieces to go with them
I dunno if anyone else does this but I usually paint a pretty saturated layer as my first pass and then add an overall tinted grey. I would then start building contrast and add spotlights of saturation to finish the piece. This one is on its way to the final stage
@Handsome_Frank My sun baby is definitely my fav that I done. I’ve also attached a wip for my moon baby 💕
Started on other parts of the painting! A little primordial ooze pimple detail
Ok ok I redid the face AGAIN and I think this is a good base for the moon goddess, though star child is looking overworked so imma have to redo him. But I want to keep the looseness, reminds me of Sargent 😍
Ok ok I redid it again because I was losing the dynamism of the lines and the lighting was way off, but that left arm has been revived! But I might change her face, it’s straying too far from the original
Figuring out color and lighting. Starting off loose and tightening in when the color/lighting is adjusted. More progress tomorrow!
