Today's lost 18th century phrase is "Bull week", an old Yorkshire word for the week before Christmas. In the 1800s, workers in Sheffield’s cutlery factories were rewarded with a whole roast bull if they finished all the extra work in time for #Christmas Day #WednesdayWisdom
