In 1832 Lasinio did his colour drawings for the start of the etching process. Using the drawings - lines were scratched or etched onto a metal plate which could then be used to print many copies.

A man, ox & lion symbolise Saints Matthew, Luke & Mark. The lectern itself would have been an eagle for St John.
