Advent calendar of this year’s work. 20/12 “Our birds” Drawn for my daughter @areradavies to take with her to @HertfordCollege to remember our #birdwatching and all our birds at home. Spot them all! Not for sale :-)

This is a painting for my daughter to take with her when she goes to university. It’s our garden in winter, with all our special birds. It has all the birds we see regularly, in their favourite spots. They’ve been very important to us this year.

A commissioned portrait I can now share. I was asked to paint this by the lady’s daughter for her mother’s 90th birthday, showing her with her beloved Italian greyhound. I chose to paint her stockinged feet as I loved the informality.
