they kinda don't connect that this was what evil marik changing the cards up did in the eng version

yugi's mind room lost his cutesy wallpaper!!! nooo!!

also, Not Gameboy Advance

the game that's cut off seems to say "mario 2" lol

kind of an intriguing angle to me that marik thought shadi killed him this whole time

this is gonna be good, whatever the fuck happens

this has been foreshadowed for ages in jp by marik implanting part of his mind in bakura much earlier.

anzu's been worried about yami yugi's fate ever since their date episode...

in eng they've changed her nervousness to be more generic "is there an even worse evil lurking?" which i think is much less emotional... its super rough

eng has her say "the necklace no longer wishes to show me the future" or something, since her duty is over and she's returning it to the pharaoh, but this increases the importance of kaiba saying fuck it and not doing as he was bidden

and as is consistent, marik does not "shadow realm" people with the rod, he just fucking stabs them

in jp the family isn't supposed to touch the items at all, but eng instead is like "you will inherit that when it's right, put it down!"
