Honestly this guy is the weirdest half Normal we've ever had. The vast majority of other half Normals are like, "The element... but it's just an animal!" so Arboliva is like. What. This is just a plant though

i also just like that ralts kind of looks like a mushroom. when they made these guys later they almost feel kind of related somehow (they do share the fairy type)

another thing i like about the family is how ralts has an obvious mouth but in the original arts kirlia and gardevoir's are hidden, which makes them feel a bit more alien. the way the "hair" is drawn is also kind of interesting, especially since it seems similar to their bodies

one thing i always liked about gardevoir was the lack of visible legs, so it felt like it was difficult to tell if it even had any in game. later it was clarified that they keep them but i think it adds to its mysteriousness
