These dragons are based on the dragons in The Mabinogion - a collection of Welsh mythology. The red dragon represents the Welsh and the white - the Saxon invaders. The red vanquishes the white and that’s how the Welsh flag came to feature the red dragon!

I felt super Christmassy while I was painting this, and I’m working on another one absolutely filled with presents which I’ll share soon too! I hope it makes you feel as Christmassy as it did me!
