I find this true from the smallest and tightest to largest and loosest. Pixel art encourages a level of detail (or lack thereof) that is somewhat unique to the medium.

I enjoy using hard #pixelart brushes for #conceptart because I feel like they force an economy of design which is really beneficial.

It’s not that detail isn’t achievable, but you have to really work for it. And because the palettes are small, it’s easy to do color variants.

Besides being a nod to Breath of Fire 1/3, there’s an obvious Jewish allegory.

I’m not saying Dologaniy is “a shtetl in the desert”, in the same way I’m not saying certain arcs represent mental health or trans topics. But if you’re looking for parallels, they’re in there!
