#PrehistoricPlanet got me thinking about the dinosaur books i read as a kid, and how much has changed since then. I just re-found one of the illustrations from one book I faintly remember. it's by paleoartist Mark Hallett, showing a then-current idea about avian evolution.

- chestnut-coloured all over with slightly paler patch on breast
- on ground/in low shrubs
- something "flipped-up" looking about wings/tail?
