Best guess I can muster:

- Has pink hair
- Has defined cheekbones
- Ally of Whitebeard, who was close with Jinbe when he was a Shichibukai
- Has cat-like :3 mouth
- Relevant enough character for a decent twist

But the lips/teeth don't really match, so that throws it off

For anyone confused, the reason why Black Maria's hybrid form looks so weird is likely because Oda's trying to make her look like a Jorougumo (half-woman half-spider yokai that lures men to her nest), who are sometimes depicted with the human torso coming out of the spider's head

Been playing Xenoblade 2 recently and I love that this game basically takes the whole Zou being on top on an elephant concept and goes wild with it, having several giant animals with civilizations on their backs as a series of open worlds. I've always wanted a game like this!

It's official: with a break next week, One Piece Chapter 1000 will release at the very very beginning of 2021! A fantastic way to close off the old year and start the new one!
