Zuniceratops was a small plant-eating that lived in North America during the late Cretaceous. It is the earliest known with eyebrow horns. It was first discovered in New Mexico in 1996 by 8 year old Christopher Wolfe.

Meet a rather grumpy Styracosaurus, a medium-sized from the Cretaceous. He had an array of spikes around a neck frill and a single giant horn on his nose, which may have been up to 60cm in length!

My next entry is Lambeosaurus, a from the late Cretaceous period - best known for the very distinctive hatchet-shaped crest on its head. This travelled in herds across North America around 75 million years ago.

Spinosaurus lived in Africa during the late Cretaceous and was among the largest of all the carnivorous Evidence suggests that it lived both on land and in water as a modern crocodilian does. It also had a giant sail running the length of its back.

Meet Iguanodon, a giant herbivore first named in 1825 by Dr Gideon Mantell. It walked upright as well as on all fours and had a distinctive thumb spike, which was originally thought to have been on the end of its snout

Similar to Stegosaurus is his smaller European cousin, the spiked Kentrosaurus! This had two sets of back adornment; his front was covered in small armour plates and his rear and tail were protected by sharp spikes.

“They’re, uh, they’re flocking this way…”

Anyone that’s watched the awesome will be familiar with Gallimimus, as some of the key characters are caught in a stampede of these speedy whilst evading a Tyrannosaur.

Say hello to the ‘meat-eating bull’ or Carnotaurus, aptly named for the two small horns located above its eyes. This is a brand new I’ve created for Carnotaurus was a medium-sized carnivore that lived in South America during the Cretaceous.
