On call for jury duty this week. Don't imagine I'll be able to concentrate much, so I've decided to use this week to play with new poetry forms. And maybe do some card-making. And read! And plan book launches for Glory in the Margins! My week is full.

Rode to Conn. this morning, following last night’s book launch. Visited Francis Maloney High School in Meriden. After the presentation, I signed a book or two!

Charles White at LACMA. The sheer strength of his work is monumental. Just look at the hands! And have you ever seen a more stunning portrait of Lincoln? I think not. It was only one of two portraits he did of a white subject.
