New 16-frame render-out of my voxel test model to see if it's worth using pre-baked assets in some cases for easier animating while still leveraging realtime lighting calcs. Thanks to @TommyEttinger for adding normal map support to his Spotvox app to make this render possible.
With the help from a friend I redesigned an enemy to be more appealing and fit the design motif for #Scalonyan's enemies. Spoo is a crablike critter in 2 parts: A screw-on head and mobility platform
Procedurally-generated curves for #gdsFM's sequencer connecting 2 notes of various offsets and length. At first, I tried using a gradient to indicate a note slide, but for legibility I probably should taper the width at the points the portamento begins and ends.
@ootsby here's an example. On the upper left is the source image, lower right, destination. Unobfuscated diff is in the upper right, and color-modulated diff in the lower left. If using glass blocks instead of color-mod, visual fidelity can be broken up while leaving image compressible.
You guys like kusoge? I was watching playthrus of Toki (Arcade) by TAD Corp and immediately pegged it as something made by the Trio the Punch guys. TAD was indeed ex-Data East guys, and some of the bosses in Toki have the same goofiness. (3rd image the boss is BURPing, lol)
