@Towa_Kitsune It's difficult to say, right off. In a case like this, I try to see what GIMP would do, based off of official art. I imported the image on the right, and ran it through a process that both coverts the image to monochrome and dithers it.

Alright so MyPaint is a little broken here on Manjaro atm, so this isn't really proper resolution, but here's a small thing for @AdmiralSif, for her birthday... a week ago. (haha sorry) Anyhow, Sif's a cool artist and she supports Squisters, so she's cool in my book.

And here's an alternate version for something that's been a long time coming (and gives purpose to the brush Marie's holding): thank you so, SO much for all the follows, all of you. I wish I wasn't a dumb procrastinating dummy and could do more for you.
