4) bayonetta was a real mixed bag for me. i love the story, characters, and presentation, but the gameplay faltered in many places, particularly any major gameplay shifts. the beginning and end of the game were a lot of fun though and im hoping the sequel improves on some of it

2) ori and the blind forest definitive edition. got off to a rocky start but really opens up once you get a few movement abilities so you dont have to rely on the kinda clunky combat and floaty physics as much. really good once it hits its stride and of course stunning to look at

(10) right i forgot i finished castlevania circle of the moon for the first time. its a fun game despite its flaws, i honestly think it has the best feeling whip of the modern igavanias. that said its got irritating bosses, an awkward map, and an absurd amount of tedious grinding

(9) i totally forgot jenkas nightmare, a really good mod/fan sequel to cave story. it introduces a lot of mechanics, greatly expands the world to explore, and i feel it does a good job following up the story. also has some cool bonuses if you copy a slot of the first game into it
