I’m in the process of making a new small comic for a zine/compilation. I haven’t made a proper comic in YEARS. So here is a Flashback Friday to 2012 Odera comics at RISD.

Perhaps my favorite moments are anything to do with Oya.
I feel a spiritual & personal connection to Oya, and some of my favorite paintings I've done have been inspired by her. So seeing new takes are so...transformative!

Not only that but the use of Nigerian Orishas is hitting me in my spirit.
I've been doing alot of illustrations and paintings inspired by Orishas and Odinani, so reading @tomi_adeyemi's takes on them is so inspiring.
