One more thing to mention is the introduction of Casey Jones. Right now there is really not much going on here until the next issue but I think he might be the saddest Casey Jones I have ever seen or the one who has the hardest of them all.

Another thing to bring up was how they introduce the prominent characters. Pretty much setting the stage before the turtles and Splinter mutated into their current selves and how they all got their names, which I gotta say left me a little intrigue.

But reading it now with the knowledge that the IDW are going borrow heavily from the 80's tmnt, this whole page feels..it just rubs me the wrong way.😒

It's like "Why you guys gotta be such a dick about it. Come on!🤦‍♀️"

And yes this a ploy to convince @Nickelodeon in making official #rottmnt April t-shirts because....reasons.

You can tell it happening at the same time because in the "Hypno Part Deux" when April calls Donnie close to a certain puppy. You see that same puppy again in "Repo Mantis" and Donnie welding something in a montage of him building a puppy park for Todd.
