We asked Sally Rippin for a book recommendation and she suggested the wonderful Louisiana’s Way Home by Kate DiCamillo. And lovers of these books should get excited because Kate DiCamillo has another out later this year, called Beverly, Right Here.

Since we’re talking art this episode, can we just take a moment to appreciate the truly amazing cover art that our awesome friend Marianne Khoo (and her assistant Max) do for us each and ever episode? I mean, really, are these guys amazing or what?

It’s an epic adventure this week in OMP land, and we’re joined on our quest by fantasy adventure writer @altait, who tells us how she keeps kids turning the page and chats to us about exploring the moral grey area in kids’ books.

For some reason Nat spent this episode trying to eat everything she came across...awesome lollypop illustrations from @MrMattB and a fabulous new picture book release from @suewhiting4 Beware the Deep Dark Forest.
