first attempt at interiors. no idea why its doing that annoying dark spots on some surfaces, and exposure control isn't working :(

so like, a challenge of the setting is going to be to make the alien ships look distinct, and distinctly alien, while also adhering to the basic rules (gotta have the ring, gotta have radiators, gotta have recognizable engines, etc)

@meglish it was difficult to not pick the one where i’m up to my tits in tribbles but it’s important people know i beep boop

working on the engineering section. i think this is probably about the level of detail needed. i want to add some windows to the forward section for the engineering quarters.

working on a second ship, going *way* faster now that I can reuse components and I have a bit more experience with what works. this is a cute little 110m long exploratory frigate, modelled on stuff like the Intrepid-class and the NX-01.

now that i've learned all these cool techniques, the temptation to do other models like this is *really strong.* like what if i did the Mercury from Maid to Love You to this level of detail?

i love Ministry of Flat. it took just over 4 seconds to unwrap the whole model. there's some errors, but they're my fault!
