A couple of WIP details shots. 1/2

I'm a huge nerd for almost visual illusion with color and transparency in paintings. I'll layer yellow over blue to get green more often than I use actual green pigments because it's visually more interesting.

Also a total pain in the ass to photograph.

Steve has chemo at Moffitt tomorrow (and it's a full 14+ hour day) so I may not get much more done on this, but *finally* that thing I was looking for showed up.

There's a breaking point in every painting for me, and I know I just have to outlast my own doubts and thoughts for those chains holding it back to snap.

Despite all the red, this one still doesn't feel angry or hurt to me.

(It'd need to skew purple and black, not orange, if it did.)
