#PortfolioDay Colombian artist currently working on visual development for a DreamWorks feature! I’m going to be available for full time work in the Spring and would love to join projects earlier on in development and with lots of research, world building, and exploration needed!

Will also add that I had a whole sheet of reference up with some great references for this piece. In general, I try not to use any one reference, but think of it as “the lighting from these few pics, the colors from that one, the brushwork from this other one, etc”

Tlatolophus in acrylic to start out the new year! Including some process shots for this one as well-I had a pretty clear idea of the lighting and general colors I wanted, so I jumped into painting without a rough and just problem solved along the way.

Excited to say I'm now at DreamWorks on an unannounced film! The team is wonderful and I'm so stoked to be on the project!

Some close ups! This was very much a lesson in how to properly indicate things- there's a delicate balance between over-rendering or just straight up having brushstrokes that mean nothing. Huge respect for the artists who do this well, its def something I'm still struggling with!

Been working on this for a bit, but finally happy to call it done! Painting inspired by Andean civilizations and the idea of what an Andean inspired fantasy world might look like. Also including close ups, and some process steps in the thread!
