✨Barong Kecil Series: Birth✨
They say when a child was born into a loving house, a small welcoming party was held-secretly-by the spirits. Welcoming the child with many many gifts, kindness, and blessings💕✨

Barong Kecil Children Book —a small thread
Here are some pages of the 32 pages book in total 🥰✨
I’ll probably update my Behance for the full storybook since its been a year
Totally can’t wait to draw more from this series! 50% sketches are complete 🥰💕 #artidn #ArtistsofSEA

Finished! It took around 2 hours for a simple piece like on the left but if its a whole concept with better paper quality it could probably took 3-7 days like my Deep Sea illustration on the right 🥰💕
I’m think about buying new paper and explore more this year 🥰✨Thank you!

Background! I love making layers and depth between the focus object and the background! And yes, I usually don’t do much details on the background to focus on the main object more. But some of my works also put lots of details on the background. So it depends on our concepts

Detailing! I usually use the same brush (as long as the tip is pointy, its ok to go!) or small manglon brushes from Artemedia. Details are written on the pictures 🥰💕
Checked some of @ailuroopoda 's posts on instagram and I believe they're not redrawing or making the work on their own. Its basically shots from ghibli, edited.
Why would you erase the hair or ornaments when you could just draw them from the beginning??
Please stop. Please.
The speedpaint maybe but for the 1st one only since idk why procreate cut the 2nd one too far 😢
