Looking back on some of my old #paleoart this #FossilFriday and reminding myself that while I have a lot to learn in the fundamentals department, my iridescence game is not to be trifled with 😈🦚🖍️ Can't wait to get that Caihong fully rendered #sciart #coloredpencil #art
Quick (1-2hr) speedpaint of Caihong after a forest fire. I definitely want to make this a detailed painting...

Anyways, thanks for listening! This was an incredible learning experience and I hope you all like it! I can't wait to start my next piece (expect more scenes moving forward) but right now the burnout is real 🥵😪😴

I initially planned for them to be bothering the lounging #Stegosaurus, but felt the scene had more intimacy this way. Speaking of which, since Stegosaurus had alternating plates, I thought this coloration made sense. It'd look pretty striking from a distance.
Here's a throwback for #WorldLizardDay, some #lizards of Late Cretaceous Mongolia. They're a few years old and of questionable accuracy, but I was rather proud at the time of the color patterns evoking an arid habitat

This #SundayFishSketch let's all take an extra moment to appreciate the exceptional prehistoric fish of @JoschuaKnuppe (in order: Paranogmius, Rebellatrix, Stenoprotome, & Bothriolepis) 🐠🐟🐡

God, I cannot stop looking at this Dimetrodon by Rob Soto... it's just gorgeous

@JoschuaKnuppe The swans & baboon by C.M. Kosemen are also the most popular/consistently viral illustrations from All Yesterdays. Not strictly paleoart, but definitely gets "regular people" thinking in the right direction
Aphetoceras, a free-swimming, bottom-dwelling nautiloid from the Ordovician. The 1st artwork I ever shared to social media!
