tried drawing a ghibli-ish background today

sure I drew most of my art with my ipad + finger but I was truly at my most powerful when I was an emo 12yo drawing anime on my ipod touch. the app I used didn’t have textures or layers or anything like that so to make checkered backgrounds it had to be done square by square

@BillSpooks the floating theater was such a great episode with cute bg characters... the moominpappa's memoirs eps had good ones too.....the baby grokes!!!
