I've got some birds for this week's daily sketches!
The first one is a toucan <3

The first one is this bison! Did you know that the fur on their back gets lighter when a bison is getting older?

Now I block in light and shadow zones roughly - and thinking about which areas will be hit by the light and which zones are facing in the opposite direction. After that, it's mostly just rendering and putting in all the details - but I think the gif explains better :D (5/6)

To make the rendering process easier, I fill in some color areas that serve me as guides/masks - this way I can select certain elements and can e.g. just paint on the leaf but not on the Frutata-snack 👌 (4/6)

As usual, I started with a quick and rough thumbnail sketch including colors! So from early on, I know what mood, etc. I'm aiming for and it serves me as a guide throughout the process. Also it of course helps a lot to communicate the idea and concept to the client! (2/6)
