a recently finished commission for @_Luisaguas. I loved every minute of painting this, and learned quite a few things from it! this was my first time painting this crystal like material and i'm proud that I pushed my limits a little and succeeded!😊💕
@TurtlerChan those mixed colors also make the "in betweens", so if your base color is brown and your shade is dark? you need a color to "unite" the two so they colors don't look so awkward against each other, and this is when I start to use the blend tool to unite all these colors!
@TurtlerChan those areas are made of "thinner" skin and what you're seeing is blood under those part of the skin
-shade is some shade of purple + your base color mixed
-highlights is some tint of yellow + your base color mixed
@TurtlerChan for example: skin isn't just one color and a whatever pink for blush and black for shadows, white for highlights like I thought, it's more like:
-base color
-some type of red, purple, or blue around the eyes, nose, cheeks, ears, etc
