The Isle of Avalon is associated with Glastonbury Tor. In Arthurian legend, Arthur was taken there by Morgan Le Fay & The Lady of the Lake after his last battle. Some say he sleeps there, waiting to return, others that he died and was buried at Glastonbury Abbey

Charles Dickens died in 1870, leaving unfinished "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". In 1873 an unknown US publisher, T P James, claimed to have been visited by Dickens' ghost who dictated the ending.Believers in the subsequent ghost written book included Conan Doyle.
