And JLA — honestly, @grantmorrison and @MrHowardPorter made the perfect super-team book, setting the bar insanely high for bombastic action, wild concepts, and brilliant use of superpowers. Every issue felt like an event. And damn if that isn't my goal for Savage Avengers.

Another eclectic roster that made perfect sense after its first issue, @Remender and @JeromeAOpena's Uncanny X-Force is one of my gold standards for balancing comic book action and character drama. Hugely influential on how I pace action, but also how I approach character arcs.
