during persona 4’s development, Soejima wanted to base Yu’s design on a dog and its loyal protector mentality. for p5, he decided to switch this up and design Joker with cats in mind and their reputation as sleek troublemakers! (submitted by @catboyrobin)

p3 fact: aigis’ headphones are modeled after an ancient greek device called the antikythera. This device was meant to predict eclipses, which fits with persona 3’s moon theme!

p5 fact: milady de winter is the only persona of the phantom thieves to be an outright villain, all of the others were rebels with a positive cause/goal in mind (with the arguable exception of captain kidd) which hints at haru’s secret sadistic side
