Tomás Saraceno has a characteristically inventive "immersive sculpture" called Cloud Cities Barcelona opening on 20 May at Glories Tower in Barcelona. Looks well worth a trip if you're lucky enough to be over that way. Evidently one for lovers of foam geometry (like me).

I just broke it to the eldest daughter that cell interiors that she had been taught look like the first image actually look like the second (one of David Goodsell's, obviously). Funny thing is, molecular biology often tends to imply the first picture too.

@VelvetPictures @robinince @Keith_English Well that's even worse than I remembered, but I guess SFX have come on a bit over the past 40 years. These stills capture the edge-of-seat atmosphere though.

Yes the year was grim, but I do have some good memories of a feeling of common purpose in the early days of lockdown, which created creative responses like the #gettymuseumchallenge. Here were a couple of our entries.

Just received preliminary pages for this, and it's all I can do not to put up some of them here, prematurely. Honestly, this is going to look gorgeous.

Feels increasingly important in molecular biology that diagrams like these be recognized as (useful) summaries of experimental findings, not illustrations of molecular mechanisms.

OK, just one more. The images by Yan & Wenting are truly stunning.
