Haha, well Final Fantasy characters are cameos in Kingdom Hearts. Plus, the character designer and director of Kingdom Hearts is Tetsuya Nomura, who designed Final Fantasy characters like Cloud. That's why it reminds you of Final Fantasy. Here's one of Nomura's drawings of Riku:
