Tristan reveals that March has been working as a spy, gathering information on the PS, but we’re not fully convinced. Some of his behavior lately has been too suspicious. Where do his loyalties truly lie?
It’s always great seeing more of the Phantom Scythe! The Apostles are arguing and it’s clear just how dysfunctional this organization is when they can’t have a meeting without threatening and insulting each other
We close off with Sandman writing a letter to Lauren, and are left wondering what might be in store between them, given their history with one another. It's bound to be great, whatever it is
Regardless of his intentions, he does have a point about how the King and Queen are in danger the moment Ardhalis turns on them. They have committed atrocious crimes, and the people are growing increasingly sympathetic to the Phantom Scythe's ideology
Redcliff cares about nothing but his own self-preservation, clearly, but it is hard to determine whether he's truly cooperating with the royals out of his own desires or if he's playing them in a bigger plot
Then Lauren makes the touch even MORE intimate by placing his hand on her chest, close to her heart, before agreeing with him and we are so unwell
The shoulder touch?? And the way she thinks back to his words from 151??? Excuse us while we go scream
Can we talk about how Lauren ran to Kieran's cave just to ask if he had read the newspaper? Girl's down bad and just looking for an excuse to see him, and we can't blame her
Lauren seems paranoid about people following her and we can't blame her—all these Phantom Scythe arrests are great, but all it takes is one mole to reveal her identity
