Today's fun art was not based on a prompt. I got this months @ArtSnacks box a few days ago and I've been itching to try out the new stuff. I think this is my favorite box yet.

Kind of a tiring day at work, so I'm just sticking with a light #lunchBreakSketch for today.

I'd done a sketch of a messenger bee before, but I kept meaning to do a more precise and finished version. I like the b&w better than the color version anyway I think.

I plan to do a larger watercolor of this. I haven't decided whether I want the base to be dark wood or shiny brass.

Today's #WIP. I still need to extend some shading out from the stones at the base, I think, and probably more of the tree. This one came together with a life of its own. I think it will also be improved by a proper scan instead of snapshot.
