More good news, the sprite dupe for mimic chests works nicely.
Trial-and-erroring the X/Y offset of this sprite has been an ordeal
Anyway, after reading some more of the Lazy Shell source code and fixing my own tile disassembly code, my findings are illegibly written in my notepad above. Long story short, I get it now. I have to debug the statue offset, but at least the sprite loads.
