This what I mentioned on the 12th. I'm pretty indecisive with what I should prioritize with the design. I've drawn quite a few concepts, but it doesn't come off gentle. The thing with me and dragons is it's really easy to over and under design them. In this case, under. Hmm...
This character was never alone, either. I wanted to have different playing styles a la SMB 2 (NA). This cast was heavily inspired by #ScottPilgrim, #GunstarHeroes, #Megaman & #EddsWorld, but was always their own thing. Their roles have changed, but are still the same characters.
Going back to poses, another thing I deal with is representing things that are meant to stay 2D into 3D. Mainly with hair. I'm working on consistency, but if you want to change how a character looks, sometimes a hair cut, wind, or maybe a hat can make them look different.
So yeah, yesterday's post was this character again. Last time I mentioned I wanted to write about him and I've been practicing some drafts. There's a lot of future-proofing I need to do. Anyway, this guy has stayed as my most drawn character since 2012. #characterdesign #flipnote
A few gesture drawings I made some years back. Exaggerated poses are my favorite thing to draw. I want to get to the point where it becomes abstract art. In some ways it already is. Also turning a character into basic shapes is cool, too.

Mario's been my main inspiration for pretty much everything. Decided to update Super Mario Land's sprites that's still in style (top). I should go back to these and incorporate Mario's sick mullet. OG sprites taken from The Spriter's Resource.

Here's another #pixelart #timeline, but this time just the whole main cast. I think this really shows I got better with colors. #Mother4 got me to get into this craze. They have years of history worth revisiting. I don't know if they fit in the new continuity, though.

A duo I made back in 2016 titled Dragon pup. Still messing around with the design to match the original design, which was loosely based off of the Mana series' Flammie. These 2 help around a medieval town while being vocally impaired.
@PixelPajamas Alright, I'll bite. I started spriting in 2011. I'm inspired by Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon games. This year I made a game called Prodigal with @ColorgraveGames and was hired on by the game's lead spriter @looloopaa who's also really cool. Made a lot of improvement this year.
