Early Koji Ito animation in Dougram #52. There are a lot of distinct shapes and poses in this scene, not really the way you'd expect a more grounded robot anime to look but the visual flair is still much appreciated
I've always loved how Kanada's works are still instantly recognizable as his own even on Miyazaki's films, despite what strict control Miyazaki maintains over his animators. This scene from Princess Mononoke is a really good example.
