All she wants from life is freedom, the freedom to be who she is, the freedom to live as she likes. She loves the pirate lifestyle, and enjoys watching the chaos Valysa and certain other crewmembers start from the sidelines. She and Lev are helplessly in love but neither admit it

Harui joined the crew the same time as Aoide did, they were already traveling together at that point, Harui's persitence wearing down Aoide's walls until they became friends. Harui is running away from her responsibilities and and she intends to keep running forever.

Still, Lev isn't the young naive boy he was when they were sepreated. His time forced to fight in his country's military has changed him, and when Valysa returns to his life and offers him a spot in her crew, an oppurtunity to escape, he takes it. He acts as the ship's cook 🍳

Valysa is the captain of that crew, an infamous woman known for her cruelty, spontaneity, and genius. She was raised by a group of sky pirates, used as an errand girl until she killed their captain and escaped. She will do anything to protect what is hers, including her crew.

After deeming Erika a failure the inventor tried again and created Aoide. She was "successful" but ran away after a couple of months. She's got a lot of anger, pain, and serious trust issues among other trauma but is slowly finding compainionship among of group of sky pirates.

Myth, an information broker and witch found her them, at her lowest falling apart in a scrap yard. She gave her a place to live and gently helped her recover, and now they're idylic cottagecore wives running a little magic cafe together.
