and from the night before!

For real though, as a perfectionist, it was v freeing for me to get out my gel pens and cheap coloured pencils, and make art without trying to be 'good' - instead just drawing for the joy of it! Would highly recommend

here, have some details so u can see just how much effort I put into those patterns and textures

good news: I finally finished the second part in this diptych of my friends and their cats 🎉

I tried something very different with this piece - a colour palette of mostly phthalos and quinacridones (no ultramarine for once!), and introducing some gouache for the patterns and highlights

detail shots +hand for scale. Tiny faces are my jam okay
Also fun fact: the screencap is from The Conscience of the King, and in that moment Spock's vibe is more "seriously Captain, you brought this random woman aboard just to flirt with her?" than whatever's happening here 😅
