Well, the one on the left was more of a rough tentative thumbnail among many, I'll also post a more 'intermediate sketch' in the reply to this tweet. Painting Nier was challenging but fun.

I recently had the pleasure and honor of doing a commission for @airzach himself! He's the voice of young Nier in the new NieR Replicant (one of the games I've loved the most in recent years, btw) so it was awesome to draw Nier for Nier himself 😄😄
