Luckily, the young writer that I spoke with had just taken a business card, & knew it was suss. In my experience, I have been very fortunate to have met industry veterans here & o/s, who have kindly spoken to me & offered advise from the kindness of their hearts; not for profit.
Western fans, I’m a bit confused; just finished watching classic ‘Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid’ & though I know there was editing controversy & various versions, Netflix ends with Garrett riding off into dawn, but Wikipedia mentions a “28 yrs later” scene at end. Anyone seen it?
I look forward to seeing how this year’s graduate production slate turns out; it’s always an honour to be part of the development, & I hope these (& past & future) strong young women & men can help encourage & provoke thought with their creative endeavors now & into the future.
Had about half the 3rd year animated film pitches presentated so far, am always impressed with the quality of story & visuals.
Each year you can see patterns emerge; parallel thinking. sometimes it’s “robots”, sometimes “zombies”, “aliens” etc. 1/3
