@Gooompy When I learned about him way back when, I stuck this card (he's the illustrator) in my wallet & would carry it around with me as a reminder that it's possible for me to design official pokemon someday. I don't know if I still hold that belief, but it's still there.
more to say other than I love the end result. It's weird and that's what I wanted. Big fan of the "mouth tail". I was inspired by Shin Godzilla & the mythologizing of Sewer Gators in the states. And also TMNT, lol

So my Cherubi is based on Holly trees, specifically the berries, which are heavily associated with Christmas. Cherrim then becomes a Christmas Caroler upon evolving, and the "overcast" form is a wrapped gift!

- indeed a raggedy ann doll. Story of an evil possessed doll that caused problems for everyone around it, if you were unfamiliar. I thought it would be fun to make that a regional form.

Ferrexian Tentacool is based on Moon Jellyfish, which I thought looked pretty cool and would fit for a regional form. For Deepstronima, it's based on Deepstaria. Jellyfish that have blanket-like appendages rather than regular tentacles, and capture their-
- which is what inspired the boomboxes & rock typing. Also, the crystals on the back of Boombluff aren't just decoration, but also a reference to how older radios sent & received waves. Google it lol
